The Beloved

The Beloved is an intense father-daughter drama by Oscar-nominated director Rodrigo Sorogoyen (The Beasts, Mother), which premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men, Skyfall) delivers one of the most nuanced performances of his career, with Victoria Luengo (The Room Next Door, Bitter Christmas) as his compelling co-star. In The Beloved, Sorogoyen weaves a layered and deeply affecting story about the dynamics between parents and children, the nature of artistic creation, and the fine line between love and manipulation.   Deze film is met Nederlandse ondertiteling te zien in LHC.
